What does the Kulturklub do?
We go together to cultural events like theaters, concerts, operas, museums, etc.. Local cultural institutions are supporting us and offer us exclusive insights and advantages like backstage tours, contact to the artists and exclusive discounts. Sometimes we go to a Bar afterwards to socialize and talk about the event.
Where can I find the program?
We will post the program at the beginning of the semester in the news section of our website, on our instagram channel and in our WhatsApp community. During the semester you will find information about upcoming events in our WhatsApp community.
How do I become a member of Kulturklub?
We do not have a strict membership. Just join our WhatsApp group. Here we will publish the events and will post the links for registration and payment.
How do I get a ticket, when do I need a registration and how can I do the payment?
In any case all instructions are given in the announcement message. In case you should buy your ticket yourself, just do it according to the instructions. For events where we buy tickets with a joint order a registration is required. We will publish a Link to the registration form. There you enter your name, phone number, e-mail address and confirm the terms and conditions. It’s important that the e-mail address is correct since we will send the tickets via email. In case the tickets are not for free you will have to pay the amount stated in the description within the registration period. The registration is only valid if the money is transferred successfully on time. For payment we strongly prefer PayPal (friends and family). As soon as we got the tickets we will forward them to you. We can not guarantee that we will get a ticket for you, since the contingent is limited. In this case we will return the money immediately.
How can I participate actively?
If you want to get some experience in organizing events, managing social media, organizing workshops and gaining management skills we really like to welcome you in our organizational committee. There are absolutely no prerequisites and everyone can join. Just get in contact with us.
I'm from a cultural organization and want to cooperate with you?
We are the Kulturklub, an officially accredited student club at TU Munich and LMU Munich. We are interested in theatre, museums, operas and concerts but are also open for other cultural events. The Kulturklub consists of students keen on exploring the cultural live in Munich. Some institutions have already invited us for backstage tours and support us. In case you are interested do not hesitate to contact us via email.
I study in Munich, but at a university other than LMU or TUM. Can I still participate?
Yes, of course. All students, who study in Munich are welcome.
Can you offer a joint visit to event xy?
Don't hesitate to suggest a event to our organizational team. If we can not offer it, you have to options: You can use our events forum in our WhatsApp community to find other interest students. Or you can join our organizational team and offer it by yourself.
What language do I need to know in order to participate?
It depends on the event, which language is used on the stage. Most of time English or German surtitles are provided. Regarding our social communication, our WhatsApp community, website and instagram channel are English, but at the events we talk German or English (or a mix of both). It depends on the language skills of the participants.
Is it required to participate at all events that you offer?
Just participate at the events, in which you are interested. It doesn't matter, whether you come once, sometimes or always.
The meeting point and time for an event tomorrow or today is announced in the WhatsApp Community. How can I still get a ticket?
It depends on the event. Check the announcement message, which is published at least one week before. In case you are new in our Community and missed the announcement, contact one of our administrators or just visit on of our next events.
